The Trojan Timing Classic (formerly the Six Rivers and Times News Relays) has long been considered one of Northeast Tennessee’s and Southwest Virginia’s highest quality meets.
In 2024, the meet will have two sections of every individual track event (18 total participants), one section of nine (9) for relays and one section of 18 in all field events.
The meet has been considered as a de-facto “area championship” for high school athletes since its inception.
Meet management has made some changes going forward. The event has long been limited to local schools. In light of increased interest from out-of-area teams, the limitations on an “all local” meet have been removed going forward.
Local schools (as defined in the “Schools Participating” section of this website) will still receive first priority, but that does not mean automatic qualification for your athletes.
